☆R&B and pop singer
☆From Fukushima Prefecture, Japan

KOU grew up in a music-loving family where she was exposed to music from early childhood through piano
lessons and participation in choirs. While in elementary school she saw a performance of the musical "West Side Story"
by Gekidan Shiki, the leading theater company in Japan,and was deeply fascinated by it. KOU was inspired to join
Gekidan Shiki but changed her mind after seeking advice from a company member. In high school she went to a
professional oldies band concertfor the first time in her life. Dreaming of performing on the same stage, she found
her own oldies band in Fukushima. After graduation she worked as an opening act of a famous artist. There she was
discovered by an accompanying producer and moved her music activities toTokyo area. After giving many powerful
performances in various clubs and concert venues in Tokyo/Yokohama area, she moved back to Fukushima and founded
the band "Replica Soul". This rare R&B band with a Latin jazz flavor grabbed the hearts and ears of the audience.
She has also given many solo performances to build her career. In 2005 she moved to New York to expand her musical
horizon and field of performance.
Her creamy soulful voice with melancholic tones is a rare jewel in the Japanese music scene.
In recent years, her ever-developing voice has been adding a deeper and sexier flavor ofa mature woman.
KOU and her passion for music is a joy to anyone who listens to her music – we cannot take our eyes off her future success.

音楽好きな家庭に育ち、
小さい頃からピアノや合唱団などで音楽に触れる。
小学生の時にミュージカル「West Side  Story」に感動。
その劇団は日本でトップクラスの劇団四季。入団を夢見るが、劇団員からのアドバイスによりあっさり断念。
高校時代に初めてプロのオールディーズバンドのライブを体験。
同じステージに立つべく、地元福島でオールディーズバンドを立ち上げる。
卒業後、某有名アーティストのフロントアクトを務め、同行していたプロデューサーにスカウトされ、活動の場を関東へ移す。
都内、横浜市内などを中心に数々のクラブやライブハウスで精力的に活動後、地元へ戻りReplica Soulを結成。
当時まだ少なかったRatin jazzの要素を取り入れたR&Bで、オーディエンスを湧かせる。
また、ソロとしても積極的に活動し、数々の営業・客演などをこなし、キャリアを積む。
2005年、新たに自身の活躍のフィールドを広げるべくNYへ渡米。

 
見た目からは想像できない艶やかで憂いに溢れ、ソウルフルな響きを持つその声は現在の邦楽シー ンでは唯一無二のものであり、
ここ数年ではさらに艶っぽく“大人の女性”としてスケールアップした魅力を放つ。
音楽をこよなく愛し、聴く人に幸せを届ける“幸-KOU-”。
これからがますます楽しみなシンガーである。
